Visual presentation is often a key factor in determining the perceived value of your products as well as the trustworthiness and credibility of your brand. That means having high-quality, eCommerce product photography can go a long way.
However, not all store owners can afford to hire a professional photographer, especially if they are just starting. You can make compelling product photos by yourself if you have the right tools and techniques. You'll need eCommerce product photography equipment:
Camera
A crazy camera system is not necessary. Although it is amazing to shoot images with the Nikon D810 ($2,000), which comes with a 105mm F1.4 lens ($740), it is completely unnecessary.

Tripod
You will set your camera to a small aperture to maximize the depth of field. The depth of field is the width of the sharp focus area. To achieve this, you will need to use the highest f/stop number that your camera can get. The shutter speed and the f/stop are closely related. A higher f/stop number like f/8 lets in less light so you will need to use a slower shutter speed to let more light through.
Background in white
There are many options for white backgrounds. If you plan to use your camera a lot, you might want to consider Amazon's white sweep. A paper sweep is my preference because sweeps can get messy and you can easily cut the dirt and roll another piece.
Table
The best folding table is a standard 24-27-inch wide one.
