Familiarize Yourself With the Hazards Associated With Dust

Dust seems to be everywhere. The sunlight shining on our curtains was enough to show us how much dust was in the air around us. It is a common misconception that dust, especially house dust, is mostly made up of dead skin cells.

In fact, dust can consist of skin, earth, sand, oil, grease, soot and food – it all depends on what processes are going on nearby. House dust is made of sand. You can now find the best dust collectors if you look at this site.

Dust is usually harmless and leaves only a smooth layer on the polished surface. However, dust has an unpleasant side, because dust can consist of all substances, including those that are harmful to humans. Powders consist of tiny particles ranging in size from a micrometer or two to much larger particles.

Larger and heavier particles often settle quickly, but smaller particles can be transported in the air indefinitely. When working with toxic materials such as asbestos, fine dust may be retained and adhere to the surface and may be inhaled.

These particles can cause serious genetic problems and lead to diseases such as asbestos-related cancer for years to come. Dust can also worsen conditions such as asthma and allergies, as well as cause respiratory ailments such as bronchitis.

Dust is also the main enemy of computer hardware. Dust can block the computer filter and the computer will overheat. The powder also acts as an insulator, which can cause additional overheating and also clog integrated circuit boards, causing a short circuit, especially if the powder forms a conductive material.
